TAMPA, F.L. -- Sources say that Yankees' General Manager Brian Cashman has interest in Chipper Jones to help fill his injury-plagued roster for Opening Day.
Cashman allegedly asked reporters to tweet that he would like to bring Jones aboard. Chipper's agent BB Abbott reportedly told Jones of the news and the former Atlanta Brave responded on Twitter this morning:
"Enough with the rumors! While I am flattered about the speculation of being enticed out of retirement, I'm happy with life as a bad golfer!" (@RealCJ10)
