MLB.com announced it's top 20 prospects today and one of them played right here in Binghamton.
Zach Wheeler was named the 8th best prospect in the game. He went 10-6 with a 3.26 ERA and 117 strikeouts in 19 games with the B-Mets before being called up to Binghamton.
Also cracking the list at number 6 is Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud who came to the organization via the trade that sent Cy Young Award Winner R.A. Dickey to the Blue Jays.
Both players are expected to start the season with Las Vegas who replaces Buffalo as the teams AAA affiliate. Both Wheeler and d'Arnaud are projected to make their big league debuts this season as well.
