SUNY Best Bioenergy

Bioenergy was the topic of a SUNY "Best" presentation Thursday morning at BU.
   
The meeting was a way for those working in the Bioenergy field to share ideas and collaborate on ways to bring a cluster to the Southern Tier.

The presenters hope by discussing their ideas they can continue to move forward on the project.

"The vision is basically that in 10 years we have a viable Bioenergy industry cluster in the Southern Tier. So we're attracting businesses, creating jobs and other opportunities and also supplying part of the energy needs in the region."

The panelists said Bioenergy is a focus because of the success several programs at BU and private groups in the area have had.
