New Siena Poll Depicts Consumer Sentiment

According to the latest Siena Research Institute poll, the endless winter may be responsible for a slip in consumer spending.

The poll said that at 76.3, New York's overall index of consumer sentiment is 5.3 points below the nation's index of 81.6.

Upstate New York's consumer sentiment numbers were up 2.1% overall as opposed to a 1.2% decrease for the entire state and a .4% increase for the nation.
