Locals Deal with Snow

Whether you were running up a hill just to sled your way back down, or shoveling out your driveway people through out the area used the snow to get a workout.

Dozens gathered at Maine Endwell High School to go sledding.

According to those who raced down the hill there's something about taking advantage of a snow day outside rather than staying indoors.

"I did bring the kids sledding the last time we had (a snow-day). Anything to get them out of the house, to get them away from the electronics, to get them away from the television, get them out here where we can blow some stink off that's the way to do it. It makes the day go by faster,"

"Especially now with it warmer around 30 degrees. But last week if this would have happened it would have been terrible, bitter," said

The bad weather didn't keep people from performing good deeds. Tom Curley says that his neighbor helped him snowblow his driveway on Wednesday morning.
