Students Helping Others During Holiday Season

Students living on campus at Binghamton University have taken it upon themselves to make sure children in need have a Christmas to remember this year.
The BU chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary has teamed up with Res Life to donate gifts to the less fortunate. Students collected the presents in the College in the Woods dining hall Sunday from residence halls across campus.

The gifts will be picked up by the Salvation Army Monday morning, and distributed to children in the area.

"It gives them a great opportunity to give back to the community, give back to the Salvation Army, and they're giving back to children that need these gifts," said Bryan Gitto, President of National Residence Hall Honorary at BU.
BU students have been doing the toy drive for 17 years and hope to donate more than a thousand gifts this season.
