Shown are pictures posted on social media by people who were on the scene.

According to Cortland Police the disorderly conduct began early Saturday afternoon with thousands of people on Clayton and Prospect streets. They believe the partying was from the Cortaca Jug football game, Saturday in Ithaca between SUNY Cortland and Ithaca college.

Police say around four people were injured and nearly thirty arrested.  The crowds are now under control. Binghamton Police, New York State Police and Onondaga Police were also called in for help.
