Public Helps Binghamton Police in Arrests
11/13/2013 (Updated 6:42:13 PM)Binghamton Police are thanking the public for helping them stem the tide against suspicious activity.
At 8:30am Wednesday police responded to a report of a suspicious male at a vacant house on Crary Street, then say they found 35-year-old Steven Knight in the process of removing copper pipe.
About an hour later, at 9:45am police were flagged down to a vacant home on Walnut Street, then found 43-year-old Willie Brodus removing copper pipes.
And at 12:10pm a citizen called in suspicious activity at Pratt Court, where police arrested a man fleeing the scene. That man, Deacon Savona has been charged with Burglary in the second degree. Knight and Brodus have also been charged with Burglary.
