Public Helps Binghamton Police in Arrests

Binghamton Police are thanking the public for helping them stem the tide against suspicious activity.

At 8:30am Wednesday  police responded to a report of a suspicious male at a vacant house on Crary Street, then say they found 35-year-old Steven Knight in the process of removing copper pipe.

About an hour later, at 9:45am police were flagged down to a vacant home on Walnut Street, then found 43-year-old Willie Brodus removing copper pipes.

And at 12:10pm a citizen called in suspicious activity at Pratt Court, where police arrested a man fleeing the scene. That man, Deacon Savona has been charged with Burglary in the second degree. Knight and Brodus have also been charged with Burglary.
