National Signing Period begins with a trio from UE

ENDICOTT -- A trio of student athletes from Union-Endicott High School signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday.

Twins Matt and Alexis Eastman, as well as CJ Krowiak, made their college choices official at a special ceremony at the high school.

Matt Eastman, a member of both the basketball and baseball teams, will play baseball at St. Bonaventure. Eastman plays both first base and in the outfield, and led the Tigers in RBIs and on-base percentage last spring.

His twin sister Alexis, a dual athlete in basketball and softball, takes her talent to the Le Moyne College softball team. Lexi, as friends call her, joined the varsity squad as an eighth grader. Eastman had a 1.48 ERA last spring and led the team with 11 doubles.

CJ Krowiak will join his hometown Binghamton Bearcats as a member of the baseball team. Krowiak has had a standout career at UE, playing baseball, football, basketball and golf. The shortstop led the Tigers baseball team in multiple offensive categories in 2013 and has a third team All -State selection and STAC All-Conference selection under his belt.

After signing their letters, the Eastman twins discussed sharing the experience with each other. Matt Eastman and Krowiak also detailed what it will be like when the two best friends face each other at the collegiate level.
