DNA Evidence Helps Make an Arrest in Three-Year-Old Robbery

DNA evidence has led to the arrest of an Endicott man for a robbery that occurred three years ago.
Richard LaFlower, 55, of East Main Street is accused in the knifepoint robbery of a store clerk at the CVS Pharmacy on North Street in October of 2010.

At the time, clothing allegedly worn by the robber was recovered in an alley near the scene.

The items were collected for DNA analysis.  Recently, LaFlower was required to submit his DNA on an unrelated conviction.

Authorities said the DNA was a match, and LaFlower is now locked up in the Broome County Jail, without bail, and charged with Robbery in the First Degree.
