Former B-Met Carson signs with LA Angels

NEW YORK -- Former B-Mets pitcher Rob Carson was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, after being taken off the New York Mets' 40-man roster.

The left-handed pitcher had 31 appearances with the big club over the past two years, with an ERA of 6.82. The Southpaw spent part of three seasons in AA, where he had a 5.76 ERA.

Carson was drafted by the Mets in the 14th round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft.
