Citizen Action and Peace Action Host Cookout at Ostiningo Park

It was an afternoon of food, fun and music, Saturday at Ostiningo Park as it was host  to the 10th annual "Citizen Action and Peace Action Cookout.

All were welcome to join to  picnic. Members say the main goal is to get together with one another and discuss important issues in the community and the United States. They say people in this area can make a big difference promoting peace.

"There's so many issues. We can sometimes feel like it's a small community of people who are working towards making life better, but really in the broome county area there are hundreds of people who are actively involved in once issue or another," said Ann Clune, President of Broome County Peace Association.

Clune invites anyone who is interested in Citizen Action to call 723-0110.
