Town of Lisle in State of Emergency

Heavy rain and flooding Wednesday has one area in a Local State of Emergency.
The Town of Lisle declared a State of Emergency Wednesday at 6pm when it's roads and and bridges flooded. Construction crews were working all day Thursday to fix electric lines and repair the roads. A curfew is also in effect between the hours of 6pm and 7am. The town's supervisor is asking people to only travel if necessary.

"If you need to go to work, most certainly go. Drive safe. Drive slow. Drive with caution. Be careful about driving in water," said Town of Lisle Supervisor, Ed Gehm.

The rainfall in Lisle Wednesday night accumulated to more than six inches. The State of Emergency is in effect until September 16th but Gehm says it may be lifted before then depending on Thursday night's weather.
