Local reaction to the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's speech includes the conviction that  there is still a long way to go.
Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan calls the March on Washington a pivotal moment in American History but recognizes more needs to be done.

"His dream is there, but fulfillment of the dream has yet to happen.  There is still a lot of work we have to do so we need to focus on their dream and make it fresh in our minds and continue to try to live up to that dream," said Ryan.

"I look at the fact that people came together for something in particular but more needed to be done and there are more elements after the march and said 'you know what? we have to do more than just fight," said Toivo Asheeke, a BU grad student.
