Felon on the Run Arrested in Conklin

Broome County Sheriffs alongside the New York State Parole have arrested a Johnson City man who had been on the run from the law as well as his sister who helped to hide him.

Sheriffs say New York State Parole had a felony warrant for 35-year-old Raymond Copp of Johnson City and learned he had been staying at his sisters home in Conklin.

When they arrived at the home Tuesday, they had to force themselves into the house and found Copp hiding under a bed.  Officials say they had to use a taser on Copp and when he was taken into custody, he tried to fight officers.  He is now in the Broome County Jail.

His sister, 24-year-old Lynette Copp is now facing multiple charges including obstructing government administration.
