Broome County up to Three E.coli Cases?

Broome County now has three unconfirmed cases of E.coli on top of the two confirmed cases reported earlier in the week.

According to a Broome County official, one of the unconfirmed cases comes from a relative of a confirmed case, while the other two unconfirmed cases have no relation to Cole Park as they had not visited there.

Results determining whether these cases are in fact E.coli will be in by the middle of next week.

This particular E.coli strain has been reported in eight different states including Pennsylvania since January of this year.

On Wednesday the water at Cole Park was tested and results came back Thursday showing no elevated, significant or dangerous levels of bacteria or E.coli.
