GBFC hosts NY Red Bull in Thursday Playoff

BINGHAMTON -- A 9-1-2 record is an accomplishment for any soccer club, but it an especially high achievement for the Greater Binghamton Futbol Club, in just its second season.

Thursday night the team has the chance to reach 10 wins as it hosts a playoff game. The Red Bulls come to town and despite their dominant play all year, GBFC players are expecting a dog fight in the win or go home contest.

"It's little old Binghamton versus big old New York Red Bulls. They have a lot to play for because they are trying to make it to that next level. They are trying to make it to the first team, so they have a lot to prove tomorrow," explained GBFC Captain Chris Riley.

"It's going to be a high-level game. It's going to be a really tough game. I think one or two chances are going to decide, small details are going to decide tomorrow's game," said GBFC's offensive force Bo Jelovac.

Game time is 6 PM Thursday.
