Roasting Politicians

In Endwell,  it was grilling weather for some politicians who are usually the ones being put on the skillet:
It was a back yard picnic attended by New York State Assemblymen Clifford Crouch and Assemblyman Chris Friend.

They were in charge of grilling and roasting for guests who were there to reward an ACHIEVE volunteer for her outstanding services --a role reversal for the assemblymen:

"This is very true, I'm usually on the roasting end of it,"
said Rep. Crouch.
"Yes, that's definitely the case. We are definitely the ones that are usually being roasted. But this is just a great opportunity to serve people within the community and be able to give back a little bit," said Rep. Friend.
Karin Bonzek was the grand prize winner. In addition to the grill, donated by Warner's Gas service, she also received a picnic package for all of her friends.
ACHIEVE provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
