Peterson St. Break-In in Johnson City

A Yonkers man is under arrest for burglary after a neighbor reported he broke into a house.

21-year old Timothy Bryant is in custody after the incident at 15 Peterson Street in Johnson City.

It happened about 10 o'clock Tuesday morning when a neighbor called police saying she saw a black male enter the home when the neighbor knew the resident of the house wasn't home.

Other neighbors witnessed the response from both Binghamton and Johnson City Police.

"Oh, sure, you don't want that around here at all. You're just hoping they can clear it out a little bit and see what's going on around here. You never know, it could be you next," said neighborhood resident Richard Barry.

Johnson City police say Bryant matches the description of a suspect in a burglary on grand ave in binghamton a few days ago and are still investigating if he is involved in other burglaries in the city's west side.
