Highland Park expected to be packed for 4th

ENDWELL -- A record breaking crowd is expected to show up for the 4th of July celebration at Highland Park this Thursday.
The activities kick off at noon with chicken bar-b-que, live bands, blow up castles, and 27 vendors.  The park's pool and carousel will also be open.

The annual firework show kicks off promptly at 9:30.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the event will be postponed until Friday.

"So there's all kinds of things to do it's just a wonderful day, that you don't have to drive or spend a lot of money," said Town of Union Supervisor Rose Sotak.  "Have a picnic bring your own, get something from one of our vendors and enjoy the day."
Sotak also asks dog owners to keep their pets at home, since the fireworks might cause some unpredictable reactions.
