Prospect Mountain Construction

Due to an electrical storm the work was unable to be done Wednesday night and will be done Thursday night weather permitting.

You may need to give yourself a lot of extra time Wednesday night if you're heading near the Prospect Mountain construction area.

The Department of Transportation and State Police will be bringing traffic to a stop on Route 81 Southbound so workers can attach steel girders over the Chenango River at the Route 17/81 interchange.

The stoppages will be at seven o'clock and nine o'clock Wednesday night and last 30 to 40 minutes.

An electrical storm would stop the work.

State Police will conduct rolling slowdowns starting at exit 6 on Route 81 southbound.
