Harvey pitches near-perfect game, Mets win in 10

NEW YORK -- Matt Harvey pitched nine scoreless innings, 6.2 of them perfect, as the Mets beat the White Sox 1-0 in 10 innings Tuesday night.

In the seventh inning, Harvey lost his perfect bid when Chicago's Alex Rios hit an infield single.

The righty struck out 12 in his nine innings of work. Bobby Parnell pitched the 10th inning and he earned the win for New York.
