Broadway Comes to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON -- A bit of Broadway came to Binghamton Sunday.

Residents enjoyed a matinee of the new Broadway musical "Catch Me if You Can" at the Forum Theatre.  The show is based on the true story of a con artist, one that also inspired a movie of the same name starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.  But there's nothing like the live version, according to those who helped bring the show to the area.

"It's exciting to see live theatre and to see such a fine, professional company.  This is a national touring show and we're excited we can bring that to our community," said Deb Ricciardi of the Broadway Theatre League.

The forum will hold its last Broadway play of the season, Dreamgirls, on June 2nd.
