Our prime directive is to bring environmentally friendly solar to as many people as possible. ETM Solar Works (ETM is short for Extraterrestrial Materials) specializes in solar energy systems. We install solar electric systems and solar hot water heaters on residences and commercial buildings. This is our 20th year in business!

At ETM we use what we sell. ETM is solar powered. ETM’s web-site is on a solar powered server. We have reduced our carbon footprint and so can you.

ETM Solar Works started out doing aerospace consulting work. Our main focus was in space and brought forth the conceptual design of the Lunar Prospector, a small robotic spacecraft that orbited the Moon in 98-99 looking for water at the lunar poles. We also did work on space solar power for the Space Studies Institute in Princeton and NASA.

In 1993 we decided to bring the resources of space to Earth more directly and go into the “terrestrial” solar energy. Since then we have installed over 1 megawatt of photovoltaics in New York and New Jersey. By installing 1 megawatt of PV we offset 1.8 million pounds of carbon dioxide per year.

ETM Solar Works is a member of the Better Business Bureau, New York Solar Energy Industries Association, Southern Tier Homebuilders and Remodelers Association, and the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce.
