The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team has seemed to turn to corner picking up wins over defending conference champion Vermont at home on Thursday before capping off the week with a win on the road at UAlbany, and now a Bearcat sophomore is picking up his second weekly accolade of the year.

Binghamton forward Gavin Walsh earning his second Player of the Week honor this season. This week Walsh would average 16 points and 14 rebounds ,with the big performance coming against Vermont where he would tally 17 points and 13 rebounds to help Binghamton snap a 22-game losing streak against the Catamounts back on January 30.

"We talked about it from the beginning of the week that we are going to turn this thing around," said Walsh "This was the first step so it felt amazing".

On Saturday in Albany, the Baltimore, Maryland native would follow up that performance with his now league-leading 10th double-double of the year with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Binghamton currently sits in fifth in the America East standings with a 3-5 record and will look to add on to their two-game win streak on Thursday at home against UMass Lowell at 6:07 P.M.
