100 Years Ago is brought to you by UHS.

100 years ago today, the sky was overcast and it was snowing yesterday morning when the groundhog and the bear came out of their dens. So, according to tradition, that means we can expect an early spring.

Police have received several reports of broken street lights over the last few days. In nearly every case, the lights have been broken by boys throwing snowballs.

Finally, the 12th annual automobile show opened with great fanfare at the state Armory last night and will run all this week. 1,200 people attended the opening and organizers expect about 30,000 by the end of the week.
