Uncorked Creations hosted a "Paint With Pups" donation event today in partnership with the Broome County Humane Society. The event encouraged the community to donate to the animal shelter while enjoying a guided painting class alongside adoptable puppies.

Participants were required to register beforehand, with a $40 fee for the class.

Samantha Zaremski, an artist at Uncorked Creations who led the session, said that her love for animals inspired her to reach out to the animal shelter for this event.

"Definitely at Uncorked and all the people here we're big animal lovers for sure. And I know that a lot of people just in general are. And if there's any easy way to get the community together to donate or do what we can do for the shelter, I figured that would be a fun class," said Zaremski.

The event was a huge success, with all 30 or so spots filled. Participants donated a variety of items such as pet toys, dog treats, and cat food to the shelter.

Zaremski said that using art as a way to raise awareness for such a worthy cause made the event even more meaningful.

"I think just the combination of people coming together to create something, especially maybe puppy related, that they're able to bring home from. But I think art in general is a perfect way to spread awareness about the dogs in need or the dogs who need adopted," Zaremski said.

When asked about her favorite part of the day, Zaremski undoubtedly said, “Definitely the puppies and cuddling with the dogs."
