When you mention rightfielder Ichiro Suzuki, left-handed pitcher CC Sabathia, and relief pitcher Billy Wagner, make sure you remember one thing... Hall of Famers, as the three honorees woke up in Cooperstown the morning of January 23rd to spend an afternoon at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Suzuki was one vote shy of being the second unanimous inductee in baseball history, earning 393 of 394 votes, rounding to 99.7%. The legendary rightfielder will be inducted as a Seattle Mariner and the first Japanese player into the Hall of Fame.

"There was one writer that I wasn't able to get a vote from," Suzuki said through his interpreter Allen Turner. "I would like to invite him over to my house, and we'll have a drink together, and we'll have a good chat."

Sabathia, who garnered 86.8% of the vote his first time on the ballot, goes in as a New York Yankee, where he decided to sign back in December 2008. The Hall of Fame left hand pitcher looked back on that decision earlier today.

"Me and Andy are running in the outfield. I get a chance to meet Jeter. We're hanging out and you know, the pitching staff, we're going to dinners, you know, we're going to basketball games together. So it didn't take long at all before I felt like this was the right decision," Sabathia said.

Wagner gets inducted on his tenth and final year on the ballot, receiving 82.5% of the votes, going in as a Houston Astro. The Hall of Fame reliever said today the tenth year was expected to be the hardest but the journey was worth it.

"It's hard to sit through these things, but, you know, you know, I hope that people look back and they see," Wagner said. "The endurance it took to to deal with these things."

Following today's presser, the three inductees got to sign their names on where their plaques will be unveiled in July.

The official Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 27th at Clarks Sports Center in Cooperstown.
