The Greater Binghamton Disc Golf Club's 6th Ice Bowl is on Saturday from 10 AM to 2:30 PM at the Campville Commons in Endicott, continuing the international tradition by disc golf players to raise money for charity.

Last year over 200 events were held across North America and Europe, raising over 510,000 dollars.

The Greater Binghamton Disc club has raised $23,000 dollars in cash and 500 pounds of food for the Tioga County rural ministry food pantry over the 5 previous years of competition.

Rick Powell, the Vice President of the Greater Binghamton Disc Golf Club, hopes this year raises that number even more.

"The goal this year was like $8,000. We're running a little short of that right now. We're we're approaching $6,000 right now. It's just one thing we can do for the community then. I mean, the dollars mean more than the food that we get for them. So our goal is to get them as much money as we possibly can." Powell said.

The event is also hoping to host 70 players and gather 350 pounds of food for the food pantry.
