Sidney Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Burglary Charge in Delaware County

A Sidney man has pleaded guilty to an Attempted Burglary charge in Delaware County.
According to the county D.A., Bryce D. Farrell pleaded guilty to the charge of Attempted Burglary in the 3rd degree. Farrell admitted that in July 2023, he entered a building in Walton that he did not have permission to be in for the purpose of committing a crime.
A few days later, Walton Police were notified that a residence had been broken into and a safe and $100 in cash were taken. Farrell was identified as one of the burglars after a review of security footage. The D.A. says after an investigation regarding Farrell's co-defendant's link to separate burglaries ended, an arrest warrant for Farrell was issued in July 2024.
Farrell was arrested by state police in November 2024. The county Probation Department was ordered to conduct a pre-sentencing report and his sentencing is tentatively scheduled for March.
