Hartwick College is adding two varsity sports to its athletics program.

"Here at Hartwick we're always looking to see what we can do to attract students and give them a great student-athlete experience," said Paul Vecchio who serves as the Executive Director of Athletics at the school.

Hartwick is adding men's volleyball and women's flag football to its sports offerings.

"We don't have to go far to find a lot talent," said Vecchio. "New York state is a very, very good state for boys and men's volleyball."

Vecchio continued: "The NFL has spent a lot of bandwidth and time promoting flag football, especially obviously on the girls side of things and to us it's a sport that I think is exploding nationally. I think tying into something the NFL is involved with is never a bad thing."

Both sports are scheduled to start at Hartwick during the 2025-2026 academic year. For more information, click here.
