Waverly Man Charged With DWI After Separate Crashes in Waverly
A Waverly man is charged after Waverly Police say he was involved in three separate motor vehicle crashes Thanksgiving night.
According to Waverly Police, around 10:20 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, police received a report of a reckless driver in the business district area of Waverly. Lucas J. Hogan is accused of being involved in three separate motor vehicle accidents that night.
Hogan is accused of striking numerous parked vehicles at the CAR-STAR auto body business on Waverly Street before leaving that scene. Police say he then continued driving through a vacant lot striking a snow fence on Fulton Street, continued onto Clark Street, and then onto Broad Street, before striking a guard rail head-on at Route 220.
Hogan was charged with DWI, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and other related traffic charges. He is scheduled to appear in court in January.
