Owego's annual Lights on the River Festival is scheduled to return this Friday evening.

The festival will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be some closings residents and visitors will have to be aware of. Lake Street and Front Street between Church Street and Court Street will be closed beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until the end of the festival at 9. No on-street parking will be allowed in the area.

In addition to the closings, all vehicles must be removed from Lake and Front Streets by 3 p.m.

Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. from Draper Park. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Court Street Bridge, Park Street, and Front Street from Church Street to Academy Street will be closed. This closure will last until the fireworks are over and the area has been cleared by officials.
