Our latest Amphenol Aerospace Team of the Week is the Binghamton University women's basketball program which is under new leadership.

The Bearcats will be led by Mary Grimes this season, who previously served as Le Moyne's bench boss for the past three seasons.

With Grimes, comes junior guard Kaia Goode, sophomore guard Leah Middleton and freshman center Abby Misier from Le Moyne. The Bearcats also return starters, Genevieve Coleman from Owego, junior guard Jadyn Weltz and junior tweener Camryn Fauria. The Bearcats say they've been gelling well in during the summer session as the Bearcats hope to raise their first America East banner this winter.

"We're ready to make our name here and get that number one seed, get that home-court advantage in the playoffs," Weltz said. "And really just be the team that puts the banner on the wall for the first time. So I think it's that excitement of knowing we've been there and that this year is going to be our year."

"We're gelling really well and the people who came in from le Moyne, they have a blank slate as well," Grimes said. "They're really learning it. We don't have some people on 81 and some people on 90. We're all on 81 together. So they've been really patient and just really learning what we're teaching everyone."

The Bearcats don't take the court until November, but be sure to stick with Fox 40 until then we'll have updates in the coming months.
