Former Vestal Golden Bear Luke Barney will be holding a three stroke lead heading into the final round of the TCGA Amateur which will be played at Binghamton Country Club on Sunday.

Barney would shoot one over on the front before shooting three under on the back including an eagle on hole 12.  Barney says that not much will change to his routine heading into the final 18 holes of the tournament as he has shot 2 under par in both of his first two rounds.

"We are just going to go out there and stick to the routine," said Barney. "Hit the shots I know how to hit and add them up at the end and see how it goes".

Trailing three strokes behind him is incoming Maine-Endwell junior Blaize Brixner who would lead after day one of the tournament, on day two Brixner would shoot three over on the front before bouncing back on the final nine holes including dropping an eagle putt on hole 18 to finish at -1 heading into Sunday.

"It feels good," said Brixner. "Couple of shots off the lead but it feels good".

Wrapping up the top three is a two-way tie for third place with 2023 champion Michael Bucko and Matt Congdon both sitting at even par heading into the final round.
