Today also marked the conclusion of Path Through History weekend all throughout New York State.

Organized in part by ILoveNY, several local museums and education centers opened up their doors to residents with special exhibits and attractions.

This included the discovery center, who compiled old photos and memorabilia from the center's past into an exhibit for the occasion.

Susan Del Cano, one of the workers at the center, described the special connection this exhibit brought between parents and their children.

"It's been really great watching the parents and the kids enjoy it together because sometimes the parents will start because they'll look at something and be remembering back and then the kids will get excited about it or the kids will get really excited about something and then the parents will get interested in it," Del Cano said. "And it's nice to just see them being able to make a connection over how things have gone."

And while Path Through History weekend may be wrapped up, you can visit any of the places that hosted it year round.
