Half a dozen volunteers cleaned up the West Family YMCA in Johnson City this morning as part of the United Way's annual Day of Action.

Volunteers weeded, mulched and inspected the equipment for safe use. This occurred prior to summer camps for sports and S.T.E.M.

United Way's Day of Action is an international campaign that tries to get the business community to support local non-profits. Volunteers from 37 countries and territories across the world come together to support the effort. Closer to home, the Southern Tier has seen hundreds of volunteers come out in years past.
