Students at Jennie F. Snapp Middle School in Endicott showed off their knowledge of historic authors at the 15th annual author fair on Wednesday, June 12.

Students got to choose their authors and create a whole display for them including creating resumes, poems, and biographies on the historical figures. The fair helps students learn how to conduct research while also tying in literature.

Being the fifteenth-year, Eighth-Grade English teacher at Jennie F. Snapp Debbie Lachmanski says the fair always helps students challenge themselves and think outside the box.

"It is important for students to just really absorb themselves into a project," Lachmanski said. "Start at have it be over a period of time and just dive right into it and then create something to show their learning and then have people come in and be able to share it and be proud of it."
