Noah Farrelly's memory rings through Binghamton's Southside at annual Memorial Run
On the Southside of Binghamton, the memory of Noah Farrelly lived on earlier today at his sixth annual Memorial Run and Southside Field Day.
Over 1,000 runners took part today, while kids enjoyed free bounce houses and games.
The event is run by the Noah Farrelly Memorial Fund, which was founded in 2018 when Noah was tragically struck and killed by a car when out on a practice run.
Now every year, friends and former teammates come to Binghamton to partake in the festivities, and Noah's mother Bridget Farrelly-Hess expressed just what that support means to her and her family.
"As a mother, I can't tell you what it means to see the love that they have for my son and how many people come out and help us and participate," Farrelly-Hess said. "Noah has high school friends that fly in from all over the country to run and also play kickball. So it's the most beautiful thing."
The fund uses today's event as its lone source of fundraising for the year, supplying running shoes and scholarships for kids.
