100 years ago today, more than 500 people attended the first annual St. Patrick’s Day party, held at the Central Fire Station in Johnson City last night.

Three people were injured yesterday when the brakes failed on a Ross Park trolley car, causing it to roll backwards down the Park Avenue hill and crash into another trolley car.

It was announced today that vaccinations for diphtheria will be given to all Endicott school children.

Finally, the owner of Washingtonian Hall has decided to subdivide 25 acres of land just west of the building into lots for home builders. The hall was originally a famous tavern, built by Judge Amos Patterson in 1800. It was named Washingtonian Hall in 1842.
