Officials say turkeys are still needed for the Catholic Charities of Broome County's annual turkey drive.

Earlier this week, over 1,100 turkeys were donated or brought in for the drive between Monday and Tuesday, but organizers say so far, only a total of 1,454 turkeys have been brought in, well short of the goal of 3,700 turkeys.

That goal was based on the more than 3,500 families and organizations who signed up for a basket or a turkey.

Turkeys can either be purchased for $20, and monetary donations are also accepted as well as a Text-to Give: TurkeyLoveBC to 50155.

The drive continues until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 17th in the Vestal Walmart parking lot.
