A barn fire at Tioga Downs Casino on November 9th destroyed one barn.

A GoFundMe has been established to help those affected by the fire, which resulted in a large monetary loss for five horsemen.

Allie Skowyra, Creator of the GoFundMe says 30 horses died in the fire. State police initially reported over two dozen horses died.

The original goal of the GoFundMe goal was $50,000, but that goal has been smashed with donations totaling over $104,668 just one day after the fire.

Allie Skowyra says, "They've lost all sources of income, their own personal horses, and maybe a job if they were working in the barn itself. So the ultimate goal was just to put money in their pockets as quickly as possible so that they can try to move forward from this on whatever level that they wish to move forward."

Skowyra also said that all proceeds from the GoFundMe will be evenly distributed among the five horsemen who were directly affected by the fire.

Tioga Downs Casino Owner Jeff Gural agreed to match up to $100,000 in funding for the horsemen.
