The Binghamton University women's basketball team trailed by as many as 28 before pulling the game back within single digits to lose to Siena 73-64.

The Saints (1-0) opened the game with a one-point lead through the first frame before blowing the door open in the second by a margin of 25-12 and leading 43-29 at the break.

That momentum moved into the third quarter as the Saints once again outscored BU (1-1) 21-12 and led 64-41 as the final quarter began.

Binghamton didn't go down with swinging, however as freshman Kaylee Krysztof earned her playing time by putting in five threes on eight shots, all in the fourth quarter, to lead the Bearcats with 15 points. For the second-straight game, 12 BU players got into the game with four getting double-digit points. Jadyn Weltz and Ella Wanzer led the team on the boards with five rebounds each while Weltz matched that contribution in assists as well.

Binghamton hits the road to take on Loyola Maryland on Sunday before returning home next Saturday to host St. Bonaventure.
