Several Broome County students have been selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Conference.

Below is a list of students, their schools and instruments of choice:

Binghamton

  • Ted Clark- Drums, Jazz Band- Alternate

Maine-Endwell

  • Lucas Bernhauer- Tenor 1, Mixed Chorus
  • Kailey Labrecque- Symphonic Band, Flute
  • Katherine Martin- French Horn, Symphonic Orchestra
  • Hannah Serfass- Soprano 1, Mixed Chorus

Johnson City

  • Vivian Ashworth - Snare Drum, Symphonic Band-Alternate

Norwich

  • Caden Stone- Bass, Symphony Orchestra
  • Anthony Pomares- Grade 11, Alto Saxophone, also selected for Mixed Choir

Vestal

  • Madelyn Bishop- Euphonium, Symphonic Band-Alternate
  • Solomon Chen- Piano Showcase
  • Sua Choi- Violin 1, Symphony Orchestra
  • Ian Chung- Grade 11, Viola, Symphony Orchestra
  • Rayna Cui- Soprano, Mixed Chorus

These students above were among the approximately 400 students from across New York State who were selected. Approximately 8,000 auditioned for the conference.

The conference will take place from November 30th to December 3rd at the Eastman Theater in the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.
