D.A. Urges Letters to Be Sent to Parole Board Opposing Kevin Wilcox's Release
The man who fatally struck a teenager and injured another in 2019 will soon appear before the New York State Board of Parole and the district attorney's office is encouraging the public to send letters to the board opposing his potential release to community supervision.
In March 2019, Kevin L. Wilcox struck 16-year-old Harper Stanz and 19-year-old Britney Laserinko, both of Binghamton in the area of 44 Beethoven Street.
Stanz died from her injuries. Laserinko's injuries required a five-hour surgery and months of physical therapy.
Wilcox admitted he had taken drugs prior to driving the vehicle. Wilcox pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in July 2019.
In a video on the D.A.'s Facebook page, Mike Korchak urges the public to send letters to the Board of Parole.
