The Binghamton Rumble Ponies would wrap up their series against Hartford by winning 10-0 against the Yard Goats. Binghamton would string together 4 runs in the very first inning including a three-run homer by Jeremiah Jackson.

Rumble Ponies outfielder Rowdey Jordan would also have a three-run homer of his own in the third inning to pad the lead to 7-0.

Binghamton pitcher Jordan Geber would get his first win in Double-A baseball throwing 6.0 innings and dealing three strikeouts.

Now the Rumble Ponies sit in second place in the Eastern League Northeast standings, but since Somerset won the first half of the season that guarantees them a playoff spot. If Somerset wins the division again in the second half, the second-place team from the second half will earn a playoff berth.

With Binghamton currently sitting in second behind Somerset and six games ahead on third-seeded Portland who lost on Sunday, the Rumble Ponies have clinched a playoff birth.

This is the franchise's 11th time making the postseason, looking for their fourth Eastern League Championship.

Bingo will take on Somerset in the first round, game one of the three-game set will be on Tuesday, September 19th at Mirabito Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.

The Rumble Ponies will begin their final home stand and series with Reading beginning on Tuesday at 6:35 P.M.
