Former Franklin Man Arraigned on Child Sex Crime Charges
The Delaware County District Attorney's Office says John J. Jaromack, Jr. was arraigned on three charges, all Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child.
Jaromack faces two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the 1st degree and one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the 2nd degree.
Count 1 alleges he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, including at least one act of oral sexual conduct with a child less than 11 years old in the Town of Franklin.
Count 2 alleges he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, including at least one act of oral sexual conduct, with a child less than 13 years old, in the Town of Franklin.
Count 3 alleges he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, with a child less than 13 years old, in the Town of Franklin.
The office says the indictment includes acts directed against two separate children.
Jaromack pleaded not guilty at the arraignment and he was committed to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail in the amount of $50,000 cash or credit card.
If Jaromack is convicted of Count 1 or 2, he faces a potential maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison and 20 years of post-release supervision.
