Two Sidney residents were arrested and charged after a crash in Walton.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred on State Highway 206 near Davis Road. The vehicle left the road and came to a stop after striking a tree.

The driver, Christine Falsetta, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 1st degree, Unlicensed Operator, and Moved from Lane Unsafely.

The office says Falsetta was released to Shawn Smith, also of Sidney.

A check of Smith's license revealed his driver's license was suspended in the state of New York.

Smith was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, failing to turn in his NYS License to DMV, and Unlicensed Operator.
