The Broome County District Attorney says a man who was previously convicted on a felony charge will be sentenced to state prison after violating an order of protection.
The DA says Benjamin P. Forestier pleaded guilty to Aggravated Family Offense after admitting he sent repeated and harassing text messages to a 32-year-old woman in July 2022, violating the order of protection.
In 2021, Forestier was convicted of Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree after intentionally damaging the woman's property.
Forestier was previously convicted of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree in 2009 and will be sentenced to 1.5 to 3 years in state prison at a later time.
