Well it's national signing day for high school sports and we had a myriad of local athletes put pen to paper for their soon-to-be colleges.

We start with maybe the most prominent southern tier basketball player in recent memory in Kaety L'Amoreaux who signed the line to attend and play Division I basketball at Fairfield University. L'Amoreaux has just about every record in the Spartans' book, including points in a quarter with 18, points in a game with 45, points in a season with 646, three-pointers in a game, season, and career, best free throw percentage, most consecutive free throws made and most steals in a game with 16. L'Amoreaux also plays soccer and softball for M-E...here's what she had to say about the packed library of friends and family all there for her.

"It was so special and I appreciate everyone that came out today because their support means the world to me," L'Amoreaux said. "They showed me here but they didn't show every single hour that they spent with me just showing their support all the time."

L'Amoreaux still has to play her senior season with the Section IV defending Spartans and plans to study business and psychology at Fairfield.
